Severe weather is expected to hit Fayette County early Friday morning, according to an email sent from UK Police to all of campus.

The National Weather Service predicts storms lasting throughout the evening Friday, with damaging winds, hail and possible tornadoes.

Those registered for the UK Alert system will receive notifications if a tornado warning is issued, according to the email.
