There was only standing room left at Pazzo’s and Hugh Jass Burgers late Friday night as rowdy fans lined the walls to watch their Cats.

“Win or lose, things will go down,” said former UK student Collin Farmer. Farmer, who said he lived in the State Street area in 2012 and witnessed the celebrations after UK beat Louisville in the Final Four, didn’t think things would get too crazy because he thought police were “prepared for the worst.”

Police lined Limestone in front of the bars until fans began to spill over into the street. Minutes later the street was packed as fans ran to the sidewalk and began a “C-A-T-S” chant when the game was over.

Some fans began to climb on the patio tent of The Other Bar as fans on the street hurled open beer cans at them. One fan even threw up on a few patrons and was taken from the bar area at Pazzo’s. A few fans sat on the roof of The Local Taco and remained there until things started to die down at about 1:15 a.m.

“It’s crazy out here. You don’t see this at any other school,”said marketing senior Kala Boudreaux. “It’s like a whole other world.”
