Parking near campus will be restricted Monday night in preparation for crowds while UK plays in the National Championship.

Starting at 5 p.m. on Monday, parking will be restricted at the following areas until 6 a.m. on Tuesday:

  • Conn Terrace
  • Crescent Avenue
  • Elizabeth Street
  • State Street
  • University Avenue

Any vehicle in violation of “no parking” signs will be towed at the owner’s expense, according to an email from Parking and Transportation Services. During this time, parking is available in the Commonwealth Stadium Red and Blue K lots, which will be off control, from 3:30 p.m. on Monday to noon on Tuesday.

Other parking garage information:

  • UK HealthCare Parking Garage (PS #8) and the Good Samaritan Hospital Parking Garage top levels will be unavailable to general parking on Monday. These areas will be used for police operations staging.
  • The South Limestone Garage (PS #5), next to Kennedy’s Wildcat Den, will be unavailable for retail customer parking. The facility closes at 10 p.m.;  no after-hours access will be permitted.
  • The Ag Loop will be unavailable for parking starting at 5 p.m. on Monday.

According to the email, CATS Yellow Night Route will operate as usual, unless a bus cannot navigate the route. If so, PTS will change the route by turning down Patterson One-Way. It will bypass South Limestone north of Avenue of Champions and then pick up the normal route on Rose Street. To follow the busses on Monday, visit Cat Tracker, which is a bus locating system on real-time.
