Two UK organizations will bring chic looks to campus at this year’s Color Me Spring Fashion Show.

The UK Hospitality Management Association and the Merchandising, Apparel and Textiles Club will sponsor the Color Me Spring Fashion Show at 7:45 p.m. Friday at E.S. Good Barn.

The fashion show is run entirely by students in the two organizations.

Mika Pryor, a lecturer in the Retailing and Tourism Management department, said the goal of the fashion show is to help students gain experience.

“It gives students a chance to put together a fashion show and run an event,” she said.

MAT Club president Katie King said this year’s show will include about 21 students acting as models and several students working behind the scenes to ensure that the event runs smoothly.

The models will be wearing looks from local boutiques that reflect the show’s “Day to Night” theme, King said.

“There will be many daytime looks which are very fun and playful, as well as night time looks that could be worn more at the Derby or Keeneland,” she said. “Overall, we’re looking to keep it fun, playful and full of spring colors.”

Admission to the Color Me Spring Fashion Show will be $10 for students and $25 for general admission.
