The trial of Mark Taylor for the murder of Alex Johnson, a UK chef, continued Wednesday morning.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reported that Fayette County Jail inmate Brandon Roberts testified that he cleaned Taylor’s garage, where police and prosecutors believe Taylor and another suspect who confessed his involvement in the case, Timothy Ballard, put Johnson’s body in the barrel he was later found in at the bottom of the Kentucky River.

Other witnesses on Wednesday included a woman who tests for evidence of body fluids at the Frankfort Kentucky State Police lab, a former employer of Ballard, a man who owned the recycling business that the barrel Johnson was found in from, and a man who bought a car from Taylor 10 days after Johnson died.

Ballard is expected to testify tomorrow. The trial will continue at 8:45 a.m.
