A woman was hit by a car while crossing a road near William T. Young Library, Thursday evening. 

UK spokeswoman Kathy Johnson said the woman was hit at about 8 p.m. Johnson said the woman using a crosswalk near the library. 

Johnson said the woman was taken to UK Chandler Hospital, but her condition is unknown at this time. 

Both the woman and the driver of the car are UK students, Johnson said.
