Darius Miller scoreless in two SEC Tournament games
March 12, 2012
Darius Miller, last year’s SEC Tournament MVP, has yet to score through two games in this year’s tournament.
He missed two shots against LSU and three shots against Florida.
Against the Gators, head coach John Calipari was more mad than I can remember seeing him. I know, I know — Calipari’s always furious on the sidelines. But he was nearly out-of-control at times during the first half, and Miller drew much of his ire. At one point, he yelled across the court at Miller that he would be coming out at the next stoppage of play. Miller only played seven minutes in the second half.
But the back-to-back scoreless games isn’t an encouraging sign as UK stands on the verge of going to the NCAA Tournament. Will he turn it around and get back on track? The Cats certainly hope so.
How rare is it for Miller to go scoreless? I went back through the archives and found that he’s done it 16 times. He’s gone scoreless in back-to-back games four times.
