Kentucky womens basketball (10-17) has just two SEC wins heading into its last game of the regular season against the Tennessee Volunteers (20-10) on Sunday.

The Wildcats have struggled tremendously down the stretch as they have not won a game in the month of February and are currently on a six-game losing streak.

Kentucky junior Nyah Leveretter tore her ACL in Kentucky’s loss to Vanderbilt on Feb. 19, forcing a typical starter to watch from the sidelines on Sunday and the remainder of the season.

On top of that injury, senior Maddie Scherr, who leads the team in rebounds and assists, has missed two games in the last month with an illness and Ajae Petty is day-to-day with an ankle injury.

While it’s possible and perhaps even likely that both play against the Volunteers, the lack of either could be a dagger to any hopes Kentucky has of ending the season with a win.

Senior Robyn Benton also looks to continue her style of play as she is averaging 16.6 points per game and leading the Kentucky team as a whole.

Benton is coming off of a 21-point performance against the Texas A&M Aggies on Feb. 23.

Looking at Tennessee, the Volunteers are being led by senior Rickea Jackson, who is averaging 18.9 points per game, six rebounds and 1.3 assists.

The Volunteers are coming into Lexington on Sunday fresh off a 73-60 loss to the unbeaten South Carolina Gamecocks on Feb. 23.

Kentucky as a whole is averaging 67.6 points per game while the Volunteer offense is averaging 76.9 points per game. The Wildcats are 9-9 in games when they score at least 65 points this season.

Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. EST inside Memorial Coliseum, with the game able to be viewed on the SEC Network.
