BLOG: The greatest time of the year is back

It’s finally upons us. College football is back, and I couldn’t be more excited to get another season underway. Everybody always talks about about how March Madness is the best time of the year, but I’ll take a Saturday afternoon at a jam-packed college football stadium over anything.

Heading into Sunday’s big matchup, here’s what I can tell you is going to happen. … Well, pretty much nothing, because this game is that unpredictable. I can’t ever remember a game during this heated rivalry that had so many question marks surrounding both teams. There are so many new faces and so many familiar names gone that this one could go either way. Nonetheless, I can’t wait to see what happens.

The great thing for you, the fans, this year, is that as it all shakes out, you can check right here for the very latest. Starting with Sunday’s game, I’ll be blogging live from every UK game this year. Here you’ll find scoring updates, injury news, insights on the game, the atmosphere of the stadium and much more. So if there’s something you see on TV that you want to know more about, click over to 50.63.25.108 to get the most up-to-date news.

We’ll also be posting a quick recap immediately following the game. No longer will have you have to wait four hours to see what happened in written form. Minutes after the game, football beat reporter Kenny Colston will have a short game story with the key plays, players and stats of the game.

In doing this live blog, we hope to give you everything you crave. Our goal is to get you whatever is going on, whether it be the game blog Sunday or a breaking story during the week, to you as as fast as possible. But if there’s something we’re missing, something you want to see on this blog, let us know. Please, post comments. Let us know what you think.

That’s all I have for now, but check back Sunday for much, much more. I’ll be blogging live from Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium in Louisville from about 2:30 p.m. on. I can’t wait to get started.
