Kentucky football climbs up the polls again this week, this time after defeating fellow SEC East contender Vanderbilt 14-7.

The Cats, who are 6-1 and bowl eligible after Saturday’s win, now sit at no. 12 in the Associate Press poll for week nine, moving up two spots from last week.

Six other teams in the SEC are ranked– two of which Kentucky has already played (Florida and Texas A&M), and one that Kentucky has left on their schedule, the Georgia Bulldogs.

Next week Kentucky will look to climb into the top 10 of the rankings on the road against Missouri and grab its seventh win of the season.
