UK head coach Mark Stoops announced Monday that defensive back Taj Dodson and defensive tackle Phil Hoskins are both questionable for this weekend’s upcoming road game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Dodson was injured during last Saturday’s contest against the Florida Gators. His injury depletes a secondary that is already missing safety Davonte Robinson for the year. Hoskins injured his knee during pregame warmups on Saturday and didn’t play in the game.

Wide receiver Isaiah Epps is still out indefinitely with a left foot fracture. Epps had surgery back in August and had a screw inserted in his foot. Stoops said that Epps is “working is way” but didn’t have a timeframe for his return.

Stoops also indicated that running back Kavosiey Smoke could see more plays in the foreseeable future, stating that “he’s doing some really good things,” but also added that the running back position is “interchangeable.”
