The Las Vegas Aces have selected Kentucky forward Jordan Obi with the 44th overall pick in the 2026 WNBA draft.
In the 2025-26 season, Obi averaged 9 PPG and 6 RPG in 26.2 MPG.
The forward committed to Kentucky as part of head coach Kenny Brooks first transfer class in 2024. A ruptured Achilles in the preseason kept Obi out for the 2024-25 season.
She entered the 2025-26 season on the Cheryl Miller Small Forward of the Year Preseason Top 20 Watch List.
Her highly-anticipated Kentucky debut came in the Cats season opener against Morehead State, where Obi recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. She was the first Kentucky player with a 15-point, 15-rebound debut since 2015.
This was the first of four double-doubles Obi had in the 2025-26 season. The others came against Belmont (13 points, 10 rebounds), Tennessee (14 points, 11 rebounds) and Arkansas (14 points, 10 rebounds).
Obi started in the Wildcats first 25 games this season before coming off the bench as the sixth-man in the last 11 games.
Early in the SEC schedule, Obi put together a strong seven-game stretch that helped Kentucky navigate Teonni Key’s injury. She put up double-digit points in six of seven games, averaging 11.1 PPG and 6.4 RPG on 54% shooting.
Before transferring to Kentucky, Obi had a successful three-year career at Penn. She earned a spot on the 2023-24 All-Ivy First Team after receiving All-Ivy Second Team honors in 2021-22 and 2022-23.
She joined the Wildcats with 1,142 points and 631 rebounds in 83 career games at Penn.
Obi was the last of four Wildcats drafted in the 2026 WNBA draft, a program best.
