Kentucky (1-6, 1-2 SEC) hit the road to earn its first victory of the season in a 197.325-196.275 upset over No. 12 Auburn (1-4, 0-4 SEC).
The Wildcats, led by junior Delaynee Rodriguez, earned Kentucky’s first road victory in the SEC since Feb. 2, 2024, at Alabama.
Rodriguez continued her record-breaking season as she became the fourth-highest scoring all-around in Kentucky history, posting a mark that is the fifth-best by an NCAA gymnast this season.
The 5-foot-3 junior scored a career best 39.650 in the all-around, beating her previous best of 39.550 that was scored against No. 1 Oklahoma.
Rodriguez tied her career highs on both vault and bars, scoring a 9.925 and 9.950, respectively. She closed the meet with a season-best 9.900 on floor and a 9.875 on beam.
The Wildcats began the night on bars with Sabrina Nemcek setting the tone. In her collegiate debut performance, she scored a 9.900.
The freshman began a string of three straight personal bests. Gabby Van Frayen and Chesney Bennett followed Nemcek, each scoring 9.850.
Rodriguez scored a 9.950, her first since 2024, helping the Cats finish with a 49.375, beating the previous team best by 0.350.
The Cats proved to be just as fierce on vault scoring a with Ryan Noonan sticking her Yurchenko ½ on, pike ½ off vault for the first time this season, finishing with a 9.900. Noonan reached this milestone for the first time in any event throughout her career.
Rodriguez added to another event when she delivered a stuck Yurchenko 1.5 for the second consecutive week, matching her career best set last week for a 9.925.
The Wildcats had an unbelievable floor exercise, scoring 49.450, their highest event total of the season.
Gardner earned a 9.900 for the first time in her career and set a new career high for the second week in a row. Rizo followed by matching her career high, scoring a 9.850, her best mark of the season.
The All-American Creslyn Brose closed out the rotation with a 9.950. Brose, who recently returned following a concussion, has scored 9.900 in 26 of 29 career floor routines, including 14 postings of 9.950 or higher.
Kentucky closed the night with an outstanding performance on the balance beam. The Cats beat their previous team high, set just last week, by two-tenths with a 49.200.
Van Frayen proved to be the highlight on the beam, scoring her first 9.900 on any event. With a back handspring-Onodi connection and a stuck round off 1.5 dismount, Frayen delivered the best beam routine of her collegiate career and earned her first event win.
Rodriguez closed the night for the Wildcats with a 9.875 to end her career-best all-around performance.
