University of Kentucky football running back Jamarion Wilcox appeared at the Fayette County Circuit Court today following his arrest in September.
Wilcox waived his right to a hearing and agreed to a three-year interpersonal protective order (IPO), according to court documents.
Ending on Nov. 3, 2028, the IPO restricts Wilcox from going within 500 feet of the alleged victim or her residence.
“The court hereby orders: that respondent be restrained from commuting further acts of abuse or threats of abuse, stalking or sexual assault,” court documents said.
Wilcox was banned from all contact with the alleged victim, including third party, social media or electronic contact, according to the court documents.
Media was denied access to the courtroom at today’s hearing.
Wilcox was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual abuse on Sept. 26 and sent to the Fayette County Detention Center, where his bond was set at $5,000.
On Aug. 20, a Temporary Interpersonal Protective Order was filed against him on account of domestic and interpersonal violence alleged to have occurred the same day, according to court documents obtained by the Kentucky Kernel.
Wilcox has not appeared in a football game this season.
This story is ongoing. The Kernel will provide updates as they become available.
