Jamarion Wilcox was arrested and charged with first degree sexual abuse on Friday, Sept. 26 by UKPD.
“We are aware of the situation with Jamarion and will continue to gather information and monitor the situation closely,” Director of Athletics Communications and Public Relations Susan Lax said via text.
Wilcox was suspended from the team after sexual abuse allegations and a Temporary Interpersonal Protective Order (TIPO) was filed against him on Aug. 20.
Wilcox was scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 3 for the next hearing regarding the case.
The running back has not appeared in a game this season.
“He will continue to be withheld from competition and will not travel to South Carolina,” Lax said.
Bond is set at $5,000 and Wilcox is currently being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
