The Lexington Police Department is asking for assistance identifying those involved in “criminal activity” on State Street following UK’s win over Florida on Sept. 10.

The Sept. 16 update from the department’s public information office includes both pictures and video footage of individuals suspected of starting a fire and overturning a vehicle before officers were present the night of Sept. 10. The individuals involved will likely face criminal charges.

Detectives are calling for those with any information to aid in the identification process after their review of video footage from that night.

Any knowledge and/or photo and video evidence can be submitted by contacting Lexington Police Department at (859) 258-3600. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at (859) 253-2020 or through their website. Anonymous submissions can also be made through the P3 Tips app.

This comes one day after UK announced an increase in campus and Lexington police patrolling off-campus neighborhoods Wednesdays through Saturdays.
