Starting Thursday, Sept. 15, UK Police and Lexington Police will be increasing the number of patrols around campus to reduce alcohol and party violations, as well as criminal activity.

Increased patrol will run Wednesday through Saturday until it is deemed unnecessary.

“The goal is to make sure everybody is celebrating and having a good time, but responsibly and following the ordinances of the party plan, as well as criminal laws regarding alcohol and the use by minors,” UK Chief of Police Joe Monroe said.

According to a UKNow article, police will report “potential violations of the Code of Student Conduct” to the dean of students.
