Voices of Union

On Tuesday, February 5, 2008 serious tornadic activity devastated the campus of Union University in Jackson, Tennessee. Fifty- one students were taken to the hospital, nine suffered serious injury, and thirteen had to be rescued from the rubble. Seventeen buildings received some kind of damage. Approximately 40 percent of the dorms were destroyed, and another 40 percent were severely damaged. Additional damage has been observed in other academic and administrative buildings.
