Kernel writers Metz Camfield and James Pennington for the live blog of tonight’s UK vs. Tennessee men’s basketball game at Rupp Arena.

The folks from College GameDay are here in Lexington, and got the crowd pumped up for tonight’s game, and that excitement should only grow as the game progresses. This is the first time GameDay has been at Rupp Arena since the tail end of the 2006-07 season when UK lost to Florida.

The Cats (23-1, 8-1 Southeastern Conference) will take on rival Tennessee (18-5, 6-3 SEC) for the first time this year, and the John Calipari/Bruce Pearl rivalry will be renewed much to the fans’ delight.
