Twany Beckham has transferred to UK as a walk-on and will be eligible to play at the conclusion of the fall 2011 semester, according to a UK release.

Beckham, who played at Mississippi State before deciding to transfer, is enrolled at UK and can practice with UK for the rest of this season.

He will be a junior when he is eligible to play next year.

Beckham averaged 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds his freshman year at Mississippi State and redshirted the next year due to injury.

Beckham played at Ballard High School. He was a three-year starter and twice led Ballard to the state tournament.
