I was so pleased to see the honest column, “Student reflects on the stigma of pregnancy at UK,” by Kellie Doligale in the Feb. 10 edition of the Kentucky Kernel.

It was a courageous step to take, and I’m sure many of the UK students that have shared or will share her situation will be encouraged by her honesty and words of encouragement.

This is the type of article that can help the entire UK community be supportive, engaging and hopefully accepting of the many forms of diversities on this campus.
