As some of you may know, there was a plan developed in 2002 called the Campus Physical Development Plan. It contained what, at the time, were thought to be all the needed changes to campus in order to make it great and safe for all.

In the 10 years since that plan was developed, our campus has transformed into something completely different. From the faces seen around campus to the buildings that are utilized by UK’s students, faculty and staff, the changes are evident.

The Office of University Relations and the Office of Facilities Management have realized this and have begun to work with the development company named Sasaki Associates. And through this partnership, they have come to the realization that there is a need to ask the members of the university what they want to see and get out of their campus.

To gain a better understanding of those needs and wants, they have prepared a survey for students, faculty, staff and even members of the community to participate in. They are hoping to learn things such as where are your favorite places to eat, study and even socialize.

They will then use the information that they receive from the surveys to help make decisions for the future of the campus.

The link to the survey, which will be open from Oct. 29 to Nov. 12, is: http://sasakistrategies.com/UK.

Students who fill out this survey will be eligible for a chance to win an iPad, provided by UK Student Government.

If you have questions, call 257-5911, ext. 251 during working hours, or send a message through our website at www.uky.edu/masterplan.

Be sure to fill out this survey before the window closes so that you can have your input into the changes that will be made to our campus.
