BENTON, Ky. – UK commits Andrew and Aaron Harrison led their Travis, Texas high school past Louisville Ballard 78-76 Friday in the final game of day one of Hoopfest in Benton, Ky.

The soon-to-be Cats fared well in their first game in Kentucky since announcing they will play for UK head coach John Calipari next season.

Cats fans in attendance gave the duo a resounding welcome as they came out for warm ups at Marshall Co. High School, as they had done earlier in the day with 6-foot-7 recruit Andrew Wiggins.

Those who stayed in attendance for the 10 p.m. CST tip were treated to a fiery and entertaining encounter.

Ballard’s point guard Quentin Snider tied the game at 76-76 with 41 seconds to play, part of an impressive 28-point effort that took some of the spotlight away from the Harrison brothers.

Two late free throws from Aaron Harrison put Travis up for good, earning his side the 78-76 victory.

Aaron finished the game with 23 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds, earning him game MVP honors; despite Andrew’s double-double of 22 points, 6 assists and 10 rebounds.

Hoopfest continues tomorrow with the Harrison’s and Wiggins in action once again.

Travis takes on Madison Central at 7 p.m. EST, with Wiggins’ Huntington Prep facing Briarcrest Christian of Tennessee in the 10 p.m. EST nightcap.
