Jahlil Okafor, the No.1 overall player in the class of 2014, has included UK in his narrowed-down list of schools, Okafor announced Wednesday via Twitter.

“In no particular order: My final 8: Arizona, Baylor, Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan State, Ohio state,” Okafor said on his Twitter account, @jahprobound.

The 6-foot-10, 280-pound center is ranked as the top player in the class of 2014 by Rivals.

The Whitney Young (Chicago, Ill.) High School prospect has made it very clear that he intends to play his college basketball alongside five-star point guard Tyus Jones.

“I talk to him every day. He’s one of my best friends. We definitely want to go to the same school,” Okafor said to CBS Sports. “Even without basketball, I’d want to go to college with him. He’s a point guard, pass-first. He makes the game a lot easier for me.”

Jones’ final list consists of Duke, Michigan State, Kentucky, Baylor, Ohio State, Kansas and Minnesota.

The two recruits have six schools in common on their lists, including UK.

Okafor includes Arizona and his his home-state school Illinois on his list, while Jones includes his home-state school Minnesota in his final 7.

Jones, a 6-foot-1, 171-pound guard out of Apple Valley (Minn.) High School is listed as the No. 3 overall player in the Class of 2013 by Rivals.
