A number of buildings on south campus experienced a power outage Tuesday afternoon.

The outage affected several buildings on campus such as the Funkhouser Building, the Sanders-Brown Center for Aging, the Kentucky Clinic and many others.

“Apparently it’s a transformer that has gone out and UK Facilities Management are looking to replace the power,” said Kathy Johnson, a UK spokeswoman.

The outage did not disrupt classes greatly and was repaired within an hour.
