UK Police notifies campus of sexual abuse incident, asks for information about suspect

UK Police issued a crime bulletin Wednesday afternoon to inform the campus community about an incident that occurred on Tuesday afternoon on UK’s campus.

A student reported that at approximately 10:30 p.m., she was approached by a male while walking on South Limestone near Avenue of Champions. She reported that the male grabbed her by the wrist, then “touched her buttocks and asked her for money.”

She reportedly gave him money, and he walked away. She described the suspect as a black male with short hair, approximately 5’7″ and in his 30s or 40s. 

UK Police is asking that anyone with information related to this incident call (859) 257-8573.

UK Police issued this crime bulletin in compliance with the “Timely Notice” provision of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Police and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, according to the email.
