UPDATE: As of 12:30 p.m. Friday, South Upper Street near Bolivar Street is open to traffic, according to UK Public Relations staff.

Repairs on a near-campus water main break could continue to slow traffic in downtown Lexington Friday.

South Upper Street near Bolivar Street was closed due to a water main break in the area, according to a UKNow news release.

The break originally began Thursday around noon and affected some areas of campus, including the Taylor Education Building. But the break has been fixed, and those affected areas of campus now have water, the release said.
