Fire engines rolled up Rose Street at approximately 2:18 p.m. on Monday in response to a fire alarm that went off in the southeast corner of the Chem-Phys building on UK’s campus.

According to Lexington Fire Captain Joey Harris, ongoing construction near UK’s Chemistry-Physics Building likely triggered the alarm. He said the fire department arrived and reset the alarm.

Students briefly had to evacuate before being allowed back into the building.
