For the first time since 2016, the UK men’s basketball team is ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press Poll.

The Cats rank ahead of Duke, Michigan State, Louisville and Kansas in the top-5.

Kentucky (2-0) has wins over then No. 1 ranked Michigan State in Madison Square Garden and in-state school Eastern Kentucky University.

In head coach John Calipari’s reign at UK, seven of his 11 teams have reached the No. 1 spot in the country.
