Kentucky STUNT moved to 11-0 on the season following a doubleheader sweep over Muskingum in Ohio on Saturday with a score of 21-4 in the first matchup followed by a 21-1 victory in game two.
The 11-0 record for the Wildcats marked not only the team’s longest winning streak, but additionally its best start in program history.
In the teams’ first game, the Cats took the first point of the quarter, followed by a quick response from the Fighting Muskies, where they claimed the second two points in the partner stunts.
However, Kentucky quickly responded by rounding out partner stunts with a point and claimed all four points in pyramids and tosses, bringing the halftime score to 6-2.
Jumps and tumbling followed the same rhythm of the previous quarter, where the Cats took control of the entire quarter, ending the period 10-2 over Muskingum.
To round out the first game, Kentucky outscored its opponent 11-2 in the final period, giving the Wildcats their first win.
In the second game, the first routine came with a shared point, followed by a sweep of the first quarter and a three-point gain in the second quarter for the Cats to hold Muskingum 7-1 at the half.
Matching the first game, jumps and tumbling saw the Cats take all four points, with the conclusion of the second game following a 10-point gain for Kentucky in team routine.
The Wildcats return to action on Friday, March 7, at the 2025 Central Arkansas STUNT Tournament, kicking off the action versus Central Arkansas at 2 p.m.
