The Semi-Spooky House at A Cup of Commonwealth and Chocolate Holler will be held Monday, Oct  30, in the Halloween spirit where students can expect to have a fun and spooky night.

The event is meant to put a twist on the coffee shop and give patrons a thrill with their caffeine. A Cup of the Commonwealth was established in 2013 and serves traditional coffee with a play on chocolate.

“Our mission is to embrace community, serve others and create culture,”” Salvador Sanchez of A Cup of the Commonwealth and Chocolate Holler shares.

“We believed that coffee was and is a product to share community with others, to inspire ideas and to be inspired by others, and to celebrate each other’s’ similarities and differences,” Sanchez said.

There is no cost to attend; it is business as usual for the coffee spirit. There will be tours of the spookified Cup of Commonwealth beginning at 7 p.m. and a costume party at Chocolate Holler with things rounding up by 10 p.m.

“We just want to have fun and include as many people in our Halloween-themed shenanigans as possible,” Shrake said.

Break out the clown nose and Frankenstein shoes and head over for a cup of joe with a taste of Halloween to light the night.

A Cup of the Commonwealth and Chocolate Holler is located at 400 Old Vine Street, suite #104.
