Professional events to go to

College provides educational moments even outside of the classroom. For young professionals, plenty of these opportunities are taking place soon. Pick some of these events to add your calendar to improve your professional goals.

These events are either hosted by UK organizations or groups in the Lexington community.

Connect: A Young Professionals Networking Happy Hour, Jan. 30

Have a drink and make a professional connection at the same time! This event is hosted almost monthly by the Lexington Young Professionals Association and is geared toward making connections that “will skyrocket you through 2018.” Connect starts at 5:30 p.m. at Mr. Brews Taphouse. Education Abroad Spring Fair, Jan. 23

If you want to find a different and interesting way to learn, consider stopping by Education Abroad’s Spring Fair. Taking place from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Hub at Young Library, This small fair could help you explore which international programs you are eligible for and set you on a path for adventure.

MBA Open House, Feb. 1

Considering life after you get your diploma? All UK undergraduate students are invited to attend this event that will discuss UK’s accelerated One-Year MBA program at 5:30 p.m. in the Gatton College of Business. The OrgSync event also said that this will be an opportunity to network with peers, current students in the program, UK alumni, faculty and more.
