The UK men’s basketball team showed their human side on Thursday as they delivered packed lunches to a handful of different elementary schools in conjunction with the UK Athletics’ God’s Pantry program.

The players talked in the classroom on the importance of both academics and basketball, but also got to connect with the kids through playing kickball and basketball. UK fans were able to see what kind of work the players do off the court, and that they are regular human beings who try to participate in the community.

All the UK athletic teams have one week to participate in the UK Athletics’ God’s Pantry program.
