Hilltop Avenue traffic will be restricted to one lane between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. beginning Monday and continuing through Feb. 14, according to a UK Parking and Transportation E-newsletter.

One lane of traffic will remain open between University Avenue and Woodland Avenue, the newsletter read. Flagmen will direct traffic at the intersections at University and Woodland Avenues, and traffic stops should be limited to five to 10 minutes.

The newsletter stated that travelers should budget extra time for travel when driving through the area, and signs will show where sidewalks are closed to pedestrian traffic.

According to the Campus Construction webpage, the lane will be closed for utility upgrades to the sanitary sewer lines in the area.

The newsletter added that the timetable is subject to change, as construction projects are reliant on good weather in which to complete the work.
