Four-star recruit Dominic Woodson is no longer seen as a viable option for UK, according to his high-school coach.
On Wednesday, Huntington Prep head coach Rob Fulford told the Kernel that his center would not take part in a previously scheduled interview with Kernel reporters.
“He won’t be going to Kentucky,” Fulford said.
The 6-foot-9, 265-pound prospect had previously included UK in a list of ten schools he was still considering in a tweet posted on Aug. 17.
That list since shrunk to at least nine, with the Cats being scratched from Woodson’s list of potential destinations, despite reports of him enjoying a successful visit to Kentucky this past weekend that may have included an offer.
Woodson becomes the second Huntington Prep player in 2013 class to rule out a college career in Lexington. Teammate Xavier Raythan-Mayes ruled out UK when he tweeted his list of five schools on Aug. 24th.
Andrew Wiggins, number one ranked player in the class of 2014 – who could yet reclassify for 2013 – becomes the lone star from the West Virginia school still considering an offer from Cats head coach John Calipari.
