Jones named to AP preseason All-America team

Terrence Jones was named to the AP preseason All-America team Monday.
Jones, a sophomore forward who averaged 15.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game last season, received 33 votes. The rest of the team (numbers in parentheses indicates amount of votes received from the 65-member panel):
– Jared Sullinger, forward, Ohio State (65)
– Harrison Barnes, forward, North Carolina (63)
– Jordan Taylor, guard, Wisconsin (51)
– Jeremy Lamb, guard, Connecticut (25)
Jones was voted preseason SEC Player of the Year and dropped 52 points in UK’s Blue-White scrimmage last week.
