Wiltjer does the ‘Cat Daddy’ at Madness

There’s always a lot of talk about who will dance at Big Blue Madness. Various names popped up from Media Day — Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist told KSTV they would (they didn’t), other players said Jarrod Polson would (he did). Sometimes it works out; sometimes it doesn’t. Just last year, Doron Lamb told me he would dance and said he wasn’t scared of the John Wall legacy, and I thought it was the coolest thing, and then he did nothing.

But I’m not sure anyone expected Kyle Wiltjer to dance last night. He entered to “Let Me Clear My Throat,” an old-school hip-hop song I remember from my middle school days.

Then again, Wiltjer loves him some old-school stuff. His hook shot is a blast from the past. We’ll have a story on that soon.

Anyway, Wiltjer’s dance is here, at the 40-second mark.

And what dance is that? The ‘Cat Daddy.’ It’s the weirdest dance ever, and I can only identify what the dance move was because my roommate busts it out whenever he beats me at foosball. Here’s a video teaching you how to Cat Daddy, from the makers of the dance themselves. (Skip to the 1:40 mark to see it in action. Video possibly NSFW.)
