Doron Lamb’s headgear

Doron Lamb has established his head wear for the year. After every game, while the media gathers around to ask him about his shooting, or about starting the game, or about playing with a better motor, a beanie is perched atop his head.

For the New York native, it’s not a fashion statement. It’s a practical, and useful, device.

“I like my head warm,” Lamb said. “It’s cold in New York, so I always have a hat on.”

It’s blue and white with two giant earflaps, and I could have sworn I once saw one version with two chords hanging down. I also have no idea whether it’s supposed to be called a toboggan (for the sled-inclined), a beanie (for people with preferences like me), or a tuque (for Canadians).

Lamb follows in the footsteps of DeMarcus Cousins, who wore a furry brown tuque, complete with glasses.

He said he had it at the Student Center. I went and looked around and saw at least 13 other varieties, but no Lamb toboggan. It’s either sold out or nonexistent. So, in that case, let’s take a look at what was in the Student Center.
