Second former player connected with ticket scandal

A second former UK men’s basketball player has been connected with a ticket-selling scandal. Derrick Miller, 42, was cited with felony theft by deception for accepting payment in advance for UK basketball tickets that were not his to sell, according to Lexington police.

Miller was not arrested and the investigation is ongoing, police said. Miller scored 1,156 points in his career, which ran from 1987-90.

Ed Davender, 43, was arrested Sept. 1 and charged with theft by deception for accepting payment in advance for UK basketball tickets. Davender led the Cats in scoring from 1984-88.
