Closure date set for South Limestone

An electronic construction sign was added on Avenue of Champions in front of Memorial Coliseum warning drivers of the impending closure of South Limestone on July 22.
On that day, the street will be closed from Avenue of Champions to Vine Street, with only emergency vehicle access. The first phase of the project, which will bury utility lines, replace sewage lines, add bike lanes and beautify the area, is scheduled to be complete in November. The city hopes the entire project will be finished by July 2010.
