Four Greek organizations in the School of Music are hosting a masquerade ball on Saturday. The social event is for students in the School of Music or interested in music, said Devon Holmes, president of Tau Beta Sigma.

The organizations hosting the event are Tau Beta Sigma, Kappa Kappa Psi, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Sigma Alpha Iota. The social event is Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight at The Holiday Inn North on Newtown Pike.

“We are trying to make the event much bigger and better this year,” said Jessica Stevens, an arts administration junior and a member of Kappa Kappa Psi and Sigma Alpha Iota.  “We are much more organized, which has led to better venues and DJs.”Secondary science education junior Taylor Brandenburg, vice president of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi, said the Greek organizations have been working on the organization of the event since September.

“This formal is the last big social event before school lets out for summer,” Brandenburg said. “It gives everyone a chance to relax before finals.”

Tickets are available in advance for $15 in the Fine Arts lobby or $20 at the door.
