Catina Bett dismissed from women’s basketball team

Sophomore center Catina Bett has been released by the UK women’s basketball team for violation of team rules, UK spokeswoman Susan Lax said. Bett appeared in 19 games for the Cats this year, averaging 2.4 points per game in just under 10 minutes per game.

“I have dismissed Catina Bett from the UK Hoops team today. We wish her well in all of her future endeavors,” UK head coach Matthew Mitchell said in a news release.

  2. I THINK THE COACH MADE A BAD CHOICE BY RELEASING BETT. APPARENTLY DURING THE SEASON MITCHELL HAD SOME PERSONAL PROBLEMS WITH BETT. I MEAN THE GIRL IS 6 FOOT 5 IN. SHE IS A GREAT INSIDE PRESENTS WHEN HE PUTS HER IN THE GAME. I THINK THE PROBLEMS THE UK WOMENS BASKETBALL TEAM IS THE THE COACH DOESN’T LET THE GIRLS GET OUT THERE AND PLAY SOME BASKETBALL. HE PUTS THEM IN FOR ONE SECOND AND TAKES THEM RIGHT BACK OUT. HE NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TH COACH OR JUST GIVE IT UP
