Summer parking policy changed: Some residential and commuter lots will be controlled for valid UK permits

The summer policy for parking on campus will change for the summer, UK announced Monday.

Parking and Transportation Services will control some student lots for any valid UK permits during summer months, according to a UK news release.

The residential and commuter lots which will be controlled for permits include: R1 (College View Avenue), R4 (Fraternity Row off Hilltop Avenue), R5 (Sorority Row off Columbia Avenue), R10 (Hilltop Avenue behind Haggin Hall), R12 (Linden Walk) and C6 (Commonwealth Stadium).

The K Blue and K Red lots and all mixed-use lots will be controlled for permits.

Employees with valid E parking permits may park in any of the newly controlled lots.

All metered spaces will remain on control.

Summer permits for students will go on sale on May 1. The permits will cost $6 a week and may be purchased for any number of weeks.

Parking for special events should be arranged with the Parking and Transportation Services special events coordinator, at (859) 257-9680.
