Kentucky Republican caucus: live updates

The Associated Press called the Kentucky GOP caucus in favor of Donald Trump.

The businessman won in a landslide in Clay County in Southeastern Kentucky, and took most Eastern Kentucky counties.

As of 11 p.m., Trump won 13 delegates, Cruz won 13 delegates, Sen. Marco Rubio won 6 and Ohio Gov. John Kasich won 5.

Cruz won Fayette County with 29,1 percent. Trump followed with 25.1 percent, and Rubio came in third, with 22.3 percent. Kasich took 22 percent of Fayette County.

In a poll conducted by Patrick Brennan of the Kentucky Kernel, 40 percent of UK students who supported a Republican picked Rubio, while Trump received 22 percent and Cruz received 15.6 percent.

Rubio has 16.8 percent of Kentucky votes, as of 11 p.m.

About 37 percent of all surveyed UK students picked Sen. Bernie Sanders.
