UKPD notifies campus of motor scooter thefts

UK Police sent out a campus-wide crime bulletin Monday afternoon regarding several motor scooter thefts.

The UK Police Department received reports of stolen motor scooters on four different occasions:

  • One motor scooter taken from in front of Woodland Glen III between 7 p.m. on April 16 and 2:45 p.m. on April 17
  • One motor scooter taken from in from top Miller Hall at 1 a.m. April 17
  • One motor scooter taken from around Mathews Building at 12:30 a.m. April 20
  • Three motor scooters taken from in front of Woodland Glen II between the evening of April 20 and April 21

In several of the thefts, the suspects are described as three black male individuals in their 20s, between 5’11” and 6’6”. They were reportedly wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, sweatpants, and white shoes. One suspect was wearing camouflage shorts.
