Tickets for Kentucky basketball’s Big Blue Madness went on sale on Friday evening, and Big Blue Nation wasted no time acquiring them.
It took just 29 minutes for the event to sell out on Ticketmaster entirely.
Starting in 1982, one of the most anticipated events in the entire state of Kentucky offers attendees a live opportunity to witness the introductions of both men’s and women’s teams, as well as skill competitions, serving as a formal greeting between the two rosters and die-hard UK fans.

Just when you thought it couldn’t be more enticing to go, Kentucky basketball decided to turn it up a notch this year, adding a brand new BBN United Fan Fest, which will give fans an opportunity to re-watch old games with staff members and legends, attend meet-and-greets with players, coaches and alumni, take photos with championship memorabilia and more.
“Fan Fest is a brand-new pre-event celebration designed to bring Big Blue Nation together like never before,” UK Athletics said in a news release.
“BBN United Fan Fest, presented by Kroger, will feature interactive experiences, live entertainment and exclusive access to Kentucky basketball culture with more details to be announced soon.”
Last year, before the first Big Blue Madness of the Mark Pope and Kenny Brooks era, tickets sold out in a record 24 minutes. In 2023, tickets sold out in 38 minutes.
The 2025 edition of Big Blue Madness will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. at Rupp Arena. For those who didn’t have the chance to obtain tickets, the event will be available to watch live on SEC Network+.
