The SEC announced a significant scheduling change, revealing the football opponents of all 16 members for the 2026 through 2029 seasons under a new conference format.
The move to a nine-game conference schedule will begin in 2026, ending the eight-game slates that have been in place since 1992, following the league’s addition of Texas and Oklahoma in 2024.
The new layout has each program facing three annual opponents, reviewed every four years, along with six rotating opponents.
This format ensures that every school will face all other SEC members at least once every two years, and both home and away, over the next four seasons.
