University of Kentucky student Madison Becknell smiles for a photo posted on UK’s Alpha Gamma Delta instagram. The caption reads, “It is with immense grief and sadness that we share the tragic news of the passing of our sister, senior, Madison Becknell. We are devastated and our hearts go out to her family and friends.”

UK senior Madison Becknell, 21, died in a collision with a tractor-trailer on La Grange Road in Shelby County the morning of Feb. 28, according to The Oldham Era

Becknell majored in clinical leadership and management under the College of Health Sciences for which she became an Instagram influencer, according to the College of Health Science website.

She was also a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta (AGD) sorority Epsilon chapter.

“To know Madison was to love her and she truly was sunshine in human form,” the AGD Epsilon chapter said in an Instagram post

Hundreds of sorority members and accounts commented on the public post, including AGD President Emma Pence.

“Truly one of the sweetest people ever. It was a privilege to know you, Madison. We miss you deeply,” Pence commented.

This is an ongoing story and will continue to be updated.
