UK basketball head coach John Calipari was ejected from the game against the South Carolina Gamecocks with 17:34 left in the first half.

After game officials called a foul on South Carolina’s Mindaugas Kacinas when he was battling with UK’s Jamal Murray for a rebound with the Cats up 5-2.

Calipari began confronting officials and received a technical foul. He continued vehemently arguing with officials, who issued a second technical and ejected Calipari, who had to be physically restrained by multiple team members, including Murray and Isaiah Briscoe, and coaching staff.

He left the sidelines and returned to the team’s locker room.

This wasn’t Calipari’s first time being ejected against the Gamecocks. He was ejected in South Carolina in 2014 when the Cats lost to the Gamecocks 72-67.
