UK Athletics director’s contract extended to 2022

UK Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart’s contract has been extended through 2022.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reported the contract was posted on UK Athletics website Friday and President Eli Capilouto signed the extension in March.
The newspaper said Barnhart’s salary will increase from $730,000 a year to $840,000 in 2019. Barnhart will get raises during each of the remaining years on the contract, with a salary of $880,000 in 2020 and a salary of $925,000 in 2021.
